Apex Learning is looking to add an organized, customer focused, self-starter to join our HR team 20 hours per week! The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department. Position responsibilities include assisting with onboarding and recruiting, benefits administration, records management and other HR projects as assigned.

 

The HR Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Recruiter with onboarding new hires including file creation, verifying new hire paperwork, and setting up online workplace harassment training. May assist with recruiting support, as needed.
  • Maintain employee personnel files.  Ensure all files are kept up to date.
  • Assist HR Generalist with maintaining updated employee records in the HRIS.
  • Assist with company events and wellness initiative.
  • Provide customer service by responding to employee inquiries.
  • Assist with various projects and tasks, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four year college or currently working on degree
  • 1+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • High sense of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Experience working in a human resource information system, a plus.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Ability to pass a Social Security Administration E-Verify check for U.S. work authorization.
